New AirPods with infrared camera are reportedly Apple's next big innovation. These new AirPods will not only improve audio quality but also revolutionize the way you experience AirPods and the Apple Vision Pro. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that Apple plans to launch AirPods with infrared camera modules that will detect when you turn your head and automatically adjust the audio output of Apple Vision Pro.
Audio quality and ease of use are two of the most important factors that users consider when choosing their headphones. With the new AirPods, which are equipped with an infrared camera, Apple is going a step further and giving you an even more immersive listening experience, says Kuo. These new AirPods are specifically designed to enhance Apple Vision Pro's Spatial Audio by detecting your head movements and adjusting the audio output accordingly. But that's not all!
Innovation through infrared camera
The infrared camera on the new AirPods is able to detect your surroundings and register your head movements. This allows the AirPods to pass the direction on to Apple Vision Pro, which then adjusts the balance of the Spatial Audio. When you turn your head to look in a certain direction, the audio output automatically adjusts to what you are currently seeing. This creates an even more immersive and realistic audio experience.
Future-oriented control through gestures
Although it is not yet officially confirmed, believes Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the infrared camera on the new AirPods could potentially be used for gesture control as well. This would allow you to control your AirPods with simple hand movements, providing an even more intuitive and user-friendly experience. Imagine being able to adjust the volume or answer a call by simply making a gesture - the possibilities are almost endless.
production capacities and publication
According to Kuo, Foxconn is the new product introduction (NPI) supplier and will be the first manufacturer to produce the new AirPods. It is expected that up to 10 million AirPods can be produced. Although Apple does not regularly announce release dates for AirPods, there are rumors that new AirPods will be introduced around September 2024, at the same time as the iPhone launch. However, the model with the infrared camera system may not be available until later - the current talk is 2026.
Apple's next audio revolution: AirPods with IR camera
The new AirPods with infrared camera promise to fundamentally change the way you experience audio. With the ability to detect your head movements and adjust the audio output accordingly, they offer an even more immersive and realistic listening experience. In addition, they could become even more user-friendly in the future thanks to gesture control. Stay tuned for Apple's official announcements and look forward to a new era of listening with the revolutionary AirPods. (Photo by Eremin / Bigstockphoto)
