iOS 18: These iPhone models will be supported
According to the latest rumors, iOS 18 is expected to be compatible with a number of iPhone models, including of course the current iPhone 15, iPhone 14 and even older models like the iPhone XS and the second and third generation iPhone SE. This information comes from a post on X shared by a private account known for distributing precise build numbers of upcoming iOS updates (via MacRumors). On the other hand, iPadOS 18 is expected to drop support for older iPad models with the A10X Fusion chip. This was also mentioned in the said post on X. iPadOS 18 is expected to be compatible with models such as the iPad Pro (2018 and later), iPad Air (2019 and later), iPad mini (2019 and later), and the entry-level iPad (2020 and later). The official announcement of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 is expected to be made during Apple's annual developer conference WWDC in June, followed by the release of the update for all compatible devices in September.
