Apple has launched a recall campaign and a free exchange program via a press release. A specific adapter is said to be affected.
Apple has started an exchange program for a specific travel power adapter. According to the press release, the travel adapter for use in Hong Kong, Singapore and Great Britain is affected. Apple writes that the power adapter is faulty in rare cases. One of the three plug pins can break off and cause an electric shock. The power adapters in question were sold between 2003 and 2010. Anyone who has such a travel kit can have it exchanged free of charge at an Apple Store or at an authorized service provider - an appointment is required.
