iOS 17 is the next big update to Apple's popular operating system. A number of new features are set to be introduced in September, including improvements to Messages and autocorrect. However, not all features will be available from the start, as Apple announced at WWDC. Below we will take a closer look at the features that will only be available later in the year with iOS 17.
iOS 17 promises many exciting new features that will further improve the iPhone experience. While some features have been long awaited, we will have to be patient as they will only be released later in the year. Below we take a look at three of these features that sound promising but will not initially be included in the first version of iOS 17. The first feature that many are eagerly awaiting is the Journal app. Using machine learning, it is designed to help us capture special moments and preserve memories. The app uses photos, music and other activities to suggest moments that are worth recording in a journal.
iOS 17: Exciting features for AirDrop – transfers without limits
While the Journal app is highly anticipated, we'll have to wait a little longer, as Apple says it won't be available until later this year. Another improvement comes to AirDrop, the popular wireless file-sharing feature. iOS 17 introduces new features, including the ability to exchange numbers using NameDrop and continue transfers even when you're away from the other device. However, this upgrade to AirDrop will also only be available "later this year" and will not be included in the iOS 17 beta. Apple Music is also getting an update with iOS 17: the long-awaited support for shared playlists. This feature allows friends to join a playlist, add, remove and reorder songs, and react to songs with emojis. Again, however, it says that support for shared playlists will not be available until "later this year."
Conclusion
Although some of the exciting features of iOS 17 will only be available at a later date, there is still a lot of anticipation for the update. Apple still has time to respond to feedback and make changes before iOS 17 is officially released. In any case, the new version will bring us an exciting update that will further improve the iPhone experience. Are you looking for new accessories?
