Apple officially introduced its updated TV app during the “It’s show time” event.
Apple TV Channels now integrates with third-party subscriptions, allowing users to sign up for other services directly through Apple. The Apple TV Channels feature is considered perfect for those who don't want a full package of programming. Apple partners with companies like Showtime, HBO, Epix, CBS All Access, and others.

Essentially, each of these services can be subscribed to directly in the Apple TV application – your own iTunes account is used for billing. The content is also played directly in the new TV app – unlike third-party applications.
Apple says: “Pay for what you want. Everything in one app – on demand and ad-free. Best picture and sound quality with family sharing"The focus of the new app is to help users find new content. Tools such as favorites lists and the like are used for this purpose.

The new TV app will be available in over 100 countries starting in May. In addition to iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV, the new app will also be rolled out on smart TVs. These include LG, Sony, Samsung, Vizio, Roku and Fire TV.
