Apple released the first beta of iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4 for developers on Thursday evening. Of course, new features are also to be expected. As has now become known, new emojis have been added.
Although not all of the new features are known yet, it is now certain that new emojis will appear in iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4. These new emojis are part of the Unicode standard for Emoji Update 15.0, which was announced in July 2022. The new emojis include the shaking face, pink heart, light blue heart, donkey, moose, goose, wing, jellyfish, hyacinth, pea pod, ginger, flute, maracas, black bird and many more.

iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, watchOS 9.4 & macOS 13.3 include 31 new emojis
These new emoji options were first proposed in July 2022 and then published in the new Unicode standard in September 2022. Apple often takes several months to implement new emojis because the company's designers must create the symbols based on the information provided by the Unicode Consortium. The emoji characters are available in beta versions of iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, watchOS 9.4, and macOS Ventura 13.3, which developers can download. Apple will likely make a public beta available in the near future. However, it will still be a few weeks before the software updates are officially rolled out to all users.
