The "Far Out" event is already taking place next week. Now rumors and leaks about the features and more are starting to emerge. The latest rumors provide information about the final expectations for the colors, performance, features and more of the upcoming iPhones.
The latest rumors come from user "yeux1122" on the Korean blog Naver, who cites a "US developer source" as the source of the information. In two separate posts, the account reveals alleged information about the colors of the upcoming iPhone lineup and details about features such as MagSafe, performance and more.
No more Sierra Blue
According to the report, Apple will no longer offer a blue color option for the high-end iPhone 14 Pro lineup. Sierra Blue will no longer be available as a color option. Instead, contrary to previous rumors, the upcoming high-end iPhones will be available in dark purple, silver, gold, graphite, and green. For the lower-end iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, Apple will use mostly the same colors as the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, with the exception of pink, as the account "yeux1122" announced today. That means the cheaper models will be available in midnight, starlight, blue, red, purple, and green.
iPhone 14 Pro: Apple does not use a titanium case
Previous rumors suggested that Apple would offer an expensive "titanium" model of the iPhone 14 Pro, made of harder and higher-quality materials. According to today's rumor, Apple has tested a titanium model of the iPhone 14 Pro, but concluded that it is too expensive and difficult to mass produce, and therefore will not be offered as an option.
Stronger MagSafe and new battery accessories
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will have stronger MagSafe magnets, making them stronger for attaching accessories, as well as a new "exclusive battery accessory," according to user "yeux1122."
A16 chip has improved thermal management
The A16 Bionic chip that will power the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is expected to have better performance than the A15 Bionic chip in the iPhone 13 Pro. But in addition to faster performance, it will also have improved thermal management, according to the latest rumor. It is claimed that Apple can improve performance thanks to a new way of managing the iPhone's heat and thermals. The Pro models will feature the brand new A16 Bionic chip, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will retain the A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13.
iPhone 14 Pro: No 2 TB storage option
As predicted by analysts, the iPhone 14 Pro lineup will continue to start at 128GB despite a rumored price hike. Initially, it was rumored that the iPhone 14 Pro would launch with a higher storage option of 256GB to compensate for the rumored price hike. But that doesn't seem to be the case. Both analyst estimates and today's rumor point to a starting configuration of 128GB and a higher starting price. In terms of storage options, there was a rumor that said the iPhone 14 Pro could come with a massive 2TB storage. However, that is also not the case.
