Even though we're getting closer to WWDC 2022, customers are still having to wait a long time for their Apple devices to be delivered. Supply chain problems have been plaguing Apple for months and will continue throughout the summer. Now the M1 MacBook Air is also hard to get hold of.
Anyone who wants to order a MacBook Air with M1 chip from Apple's online store will have to be very patient. According to Apple, the device will be available at the end of July or beginning of August deliveredIt is currently not possible to say whether the long waiting time is related to problems in the supply chain or whether Apple is delaying the whole thing on purpose. Delayed delivery times are often an indication that a successor will be released shortly.
MacBook Air: supply shortages or successor ahead?
However, it is unclear whether Apple will actually present new hardware at WWDC 2022. Since the company is struggling with supply chain problems, this could of course also have something to do with it.

At the same time, the presentation of a completely redesigned MacBook Air with an M2 chip is expected. The device is also expected to be available in several color options. The fact that delivery times are so long is giving fans hope. Will we see a new model next week? Nobody can answer this question at the moment. So we have no choice but to wait. We will know more by Monday evening at the latest. (Photo by lia_russy / Bigstockphoto)
