As of today, Germany has new Apple Maps features such as Look Around, improved navigation and 3D landmarks.
Apple has now expanded the major Apple Maps update to Germany and Singapore. The app now offers more detailed street coverage, improved navigation, three-dimensional landmarks, improved views of parks, buildings, airports and shopping centers, and the availability of the Look Around function. explained Eddy Cue, senior vice president of services at Apple:
Apple Maps is the best way to explore and navigate the world while protecting your privacy. We're excited to bring that experience to even more people with today's rollout. Maps has been redesigned from the ground up, with better navigation, more details, more accurate information about places, and remarkable features that only Apple can offer, like Look Around, Natural Language Guidance, and more. Now it's easier than ever for people to find the places they love and get to where they want to go.
Apple Maps gets many new features in Germany
For Germany, Apple promises that the update will offer “3D views of landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag building, the Berlin TV tower, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Neuschwanstein Castle”.

In addition, Apple Maps for the two regions includes the Look Around street view, which was first introduced in the US in 2019 with iOS 13. Siri directions now use natural voice guidance, which Apple says makes navigation instructions more natural, such as "Turn left at the next traffic light." The new update also brings the "Share ETA" feature, which allows drivers to send their arrival time via message to one or more selected people. While driving, Apple Maps also informs recipients of any major delays. (Image: Apple)
