During today's Peek Performance event, Apple announced that it will offer MLB games with Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV+.
With this deal, Apple will show a few games each week so Apple TV+ subscribers can enjoy Major League Baseball. Fans in the U.S. will also be able to enjoy “MLB Big Inning,” a live highlights and recap show that airs nightly during the regular season. Baseball fans in the U.S. and Canada will also have access to a new 24/7 live stream featuring MLB game replays, news and analysis, highlights, classic games and more, as well as a full lineup of on-demand programming, including highlights and MLB content. Peter Stern, Apple’s vice president of Services, expressed as follows:
Friday Night Baseball: Apple TV+ gets new addition
Like all baseball fans, we can't wait for the season to begin. Baseball holds a special place in the hearts of many Apple customers - not just in the United States, but in many countries around the world. We're proud that Apple TV+ will be the home for great baseball moments during the season.
In recent years, Apple has dramatically increased its investments in content services, especially through the billions of dollars invested in the production of Apple Original films and series for the streaming service Apple TV+. Now, Friday Night Baseball is another important area. (Image: Apple)
