According to a new report citing sources within the iPhone supply chain, the iPhone 14 Pro series will have more RAM.
Apple does not usually disclose how much RAM is included in an iPhone, nor is an increase usually communicated. However, in the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro, this has been increased to 6 GB. Now the leaker “yeux1122” claims on the Korean blog Naver that the iPhone 14 Pro models will get 8GB of RAM. In addition, he reports that the mass production schedule will be accelerated. The leaker notes that 8GB of RAM would mean that the "iPhone 14 Pro" will be able to keep up with the latest Samsung Galaxy counterpart. Traditionally, Android phones have more RAM than iPhones.
iPhone 14: Will Apple revise the design?
But Apple's iOS devices are performing better and better despite less RAM. So far, there is no iPhone with 8 GB RAM. Apple only sells the new iPad Pro with either 8 GB RAM or 16 GB RAM. However, individual iPad apps can only use 5 GB RAM, although Apple now offers workarounds. Regardless, there are also rumors that Apple is planning a new design for the 2022 iPhone range. For example, it is suspected that Apple will reduce the notch and perhaps switch to a "hole-punch camera" system. It is also claimed that the "iPhone 14" range will get a 48 MP camera sensor and possibly switch to a eSIM-only system could change. (Image: Jon Prosser x Rendersbyan)
