In 2019, Apple introduced a new option that allows you to opt out of sharing your Siri recordings with Apple for privacy reasons. This option is still available in iOS 15, but it is buggy. Now iOS 15.4 is supposed to fix the problem.
Apple explained that a bug in early versions of iOS 15 caused recordings of conversations with Siri to be shared with the company even if users chose not to share them. To avoid further problems, Apple has quietly disabled Siri recording sharing for "many" users with iOS 15.2.
Siri recordings: iOS 15.4 should fix the problem
With the second beta of iOS 15.4, which was released on Tuesday evening, Apple told ZDNet explainedthat the error has been fixed. Therefore, after updating to iOS 15.4, the system will ask again whether you want to agree to share your Siri recordings. According to Apple, all recordings that were shared without authorization due to the error were deleted from the company's servers shortly after the problem became known. Apple uses recordings of people interacting with Siri to check whether the assistant answers questions correctly in order to improve the function. You can enable or disable the option to share Siri recordings with Apple at any time by navigating to Settings -> Privacy -> Analytics & Improvements. (Photo by DedMityay / Bigstockphot)
