Rumors surrounding the iPhone 14 series have been documented for months. Now there is another report that relates, among other things, to the RAM and the camera.
Apple is expected to introduce four new iPhone models – iPhone 14 series – in September 2022, including two 6.1- and two 6.7-inch models. This has now also been emphasized by analyst Jeff Pu. In his letter (via MacRumors), which is intended for investors, Haitong International Securities analyst explains that the two Pro models will be equipped with a three-lens camera system that includes an improved 48-megapixel wide-angle lens and 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses. These details are consistent with information from TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who claimed in Aprilthat the 48-megapixel lens will support 8K video recording. Pu also assumes that the iPhone 14 Pro models will be equipped with 8 GB of RAM. For comparison: The iPhone 13 Pro models have 6 GB of RAM.
iPhone 14: Rumors should be followed carefully but skeptically
While this statement sounds plausible, some other iPhone 14 specs predicted by Pu seem far less likely, such as his claim that all four iPhone 14 models will feature 120Hz displays. Back in September, display analyst Ross Young said that the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models will feature 60Hz displays. So these statements contradict each other. Pu also said that the standard iPhone 14 models will start with 64GB of storage, although the iPhone 13 lineup starts with 128GB of storage. Overall, Pu has a mixed track record when it comes to Apple rumors. So while his statements should not be ignored, they should still be viewed with skepticism. (Photo by mmaroznaya / Bigstockphoto)
