Apple Fitness+ has been available in other countries since November 3rd, including Germany. We'll show you how to subscribe to the new service below.
Apple Fitness+ is designed to work with the Apple Watch and offers workouts that can be performed on the iPhone, iPad or Apple TV while the Apple Watch tracks your fitness progress. You can sign up for Fitness+ or subscribe to the service using an iPhone. Fitness+ costs 9.99 euros per month or 79.99 euros per year, including a one-month free trial. If you buy an Apple Watch Series 3 or newer, you currently get three months of Apple Fitness+ included.
How to subscribe to Apple Fitness+
- On your iPhone, open the Fitness app (formerly the Activities app).
- Tap the Fitness+ tab.
- Tap “Start Free Trial.”
- Confirm the purchase in the App Store.
Depending on whether you recently purchased a new Apple Watch, you'll see options for a one-month or three-month trial. Apple automatically recognizes the Apple Watch purchase and offers you a three-month trial as long as you're signed in with the Apple ID you used to make the purchase. You won't be charged for the Fitness+ subscription until the free trial ends. Of course, you can cancel it beforehand by opening the Fitness+ app, tapping your profile picture in the top right corner, and selecting Fitness+.
Fitness+ in the Apple One Premium subscription
Make sure you cancel shortly before the end of the free trial period, as this will immediately result in you losing access to the app and the rest of the trial period. One free trial is available per person or per family if you have Family Sharing enabled. A Fitness+ subscription can be shared with up to five family members. Those who have the Apple One Premium Bundle will not see a sign-up link, as Fitness+ is included in the Premium subscription and is automatically available. By the way, you can also subscribe in the same way via an iPad or Apple TV. Please note that for the iPad you have to download the Fitness app separately from the App Store.
