Apple has now started rolling out a new firmware for the AirTags.
The new AirTags 1.0.291 firmware has the build number 1A291a while the old firmware had the build number 1A287b. It is not known what new features the firmware will add. As a reminder, the update released in June includes anti-stalking improvements.
AirTag Firmware: Over-the-Air Update
If there is any news regarding the version, we will of course report on it as always. Regarding the update itself, there is no way to force an AirTag update as it is something that happens over-the-air through a connected iPhone. To make sure the update is carried out, you can put your AirTag within range of your iPhone. However, you will have to be patient as the update is still being rolled out.
