On Tuesday, Nintendo unveiled the brand new Nintendo Switch OLED model, confirming months of rumors that some sort of Nintendo Switch Pro with an OLED screen would be released.
As the name suggests, this new Nintendo Switch console features a 7-inch OLED screen. It also offers improved audio, a wide, adjustable stand, and 64GB of internal storage for all your favorite games. It's worth noting that the OLED model of the Nintendo Switch doesn't seem to offer any performance improvements aside from the improved audio, meaning that big upcoming titles like the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will theoretically run on the new Switch just like they did on the older hardware. Despite the OLED panel, however, the resolution is expected to remain the same. There won't be 4K playback in docked mode either - rumors have previously suggested this. However, the OLED panel should offer some advantages, including improved contrast and better response times.
