WhatsApp for iOS is set to receive a redesign in the voice messaging area. Similar to Instagram, the chat app will display waveforms when the user records a message.
According to WABetaInfo tests WhatsApp rolled out this feature to iOS and Android users. Although the update is not yet publicly available, the platform was able to get its hands on a demo. While the user is recording a voice message, WhatsApp displays the waveform of the voice in real time. During recording, the user can also stop the recording and listen to the voice message before sending it.
Zuckerberg confirms WhatsApp for iPad
In recent months, WhatsApp has been working on several new features. For example, with a new tab for archived chats: If the "Archive chats" option is activated in WhatsApp, every time the user receives a message from an archived chat, it will not be unarchived. In addition, multi-device support is to be introduced, which will also pave the way for a WhatsApp version on the iPad. Company boss Mark Zuckerberg has already confirmed this. A launch date was not given, however. It should start soon. (Photo by Denys Prykhodov / Bigstockphoto)
