Rumors and leaks have suggested that the Beats Studio Buds will be launched soon. Now the time has come. Below are the most important details:

The Beats Studio Buds feature an in-ear design, similar to the AirPods Pro, but without a stem protruding from the bottom. This makes them incredibly compact, especially when compared to the Powerbeats Pro. Beats says the Beats Studio Buds represent "the smallest and most subtle form factor yet," with each bud weighing just 5.1 grams.

Three different silicone earplugs are included
When designing such a small product, every tiny detail was considered, analyzed and selected to optimize sound quality, comfort and durability. The Studio Buds are our smallest and most subtle form factor yet, yet still deliver on Beats' promise of an immersive sound experience in a beautiful design.
The Beats Studio Buds come with three different sizes of soft silicone ear tips, allowing users to customize the fit to make them as comfortable as possible. Even though there is no stem, the Beats Studio Buds have physical playback controls on both earbuds. Instead of capacitive touch controls like the Apple AirPods, the Beats Studio Buds use a physical button on the end of both buds for control.
Information about the controls:
- Press once to play, pause or answer a call
- Press twice to jump forward
- Press three times to go back
- Long press to switch between ANC ON (default), Transparency mode and ANC OFF
The noise cancellation
Similar to the AirPods Pro, the Beats Studio headphones support active noise cancellation and Transparency mode. ANC blocks out unwanted outside noise, including wind noise, using real-time adaptive gain control. Transparency mode, on the other hand, uses external microphones to mix the sounds in the environment back into the music. In terms of sound quality, Beats explains:
The Studio Buds are designed and engineered with high-quality audio reproduction and comfort in mind, whether you're listening to music, streaming a movie, or chatting with a friend. The ergonomically angled acoustic nozzle features laser-cut micro-venting to ensure eardrum pressure relief. Powerful, balanced sound is powered by the proprietary 8.2mm dual-element diaphragm driver, which features a central rigid piston with a flexible outer surround. Combined with the dual-chamber acoustic design, the Studio Buds achieve excellent stereo separation and low harmonic distortion across the entire frequency curve, so you hear every note.

Availability and prices
For Apple Music users, the Beats Studio Buds also offer support for the recently introduced Spatial Audio feature. This Dolby Atmos technology brings immersive 3D sound to thousands of songs on Apple Music. Interestingly, the Beats Studio Buds do not have Apple's H1 or W1 chip. Instead, they use a proprietary Beats chipset for connectivity. The Beats Studio Buds will be released in Germany this summer. A specific launch date was not announced in today's announcement. The new plugs are priced at 149.95 euros. (Image: Beats)
