Apple has now released the third beta of iOS 14.6, iPadOS 14.6, tvOS 14.6, watchOS 7.5 and macOS 11.4 for registered developers.
The new version of iOS 14.6 is available to developers as an over-the-air update available. Alternatively, the new build can also be downloaded from the Developer Center. In addition to iOS 14.6, the third beta of tvOS 14.6 and watchOS 7.5 was also released. So far, iOS 14.6 does not offer many changes. In fact, the only new feature discovered so far is that iOS 14.6 makes it easier for beta users to install RC versions and skip other available beta updates. As a reminder:
iOS 14.6 likely includes adjustments for podcast subscriptions
You can now update your iOS or iPadOS device directly to the latest release candidate without removing the beta profile. After updating to the release candidate, you can choose to update to the next available beta or uninstall the profile to remove your device from the beta program.
It is likely that iOS 14.6 will also include new features in the Apple Podcasts app for the upcoming Apple Podcasts subscription platform, which will launch sometime in May. In addition, the first version of iOS 14.6 included hints of a Hifi version of Apple Music – more about it here. If there are any interesting new features or information in the code, we will report on them separately as usual. (Photo by Runa0410 / Bigstockphoto)
