After Apple released the final version of iOS 14.5 and Co. on Monday, the second beta version of iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 for developers is now following.
The new version of iOS 14.6 is available to developers as an over-the-air update available. Alternatively, the new build can also be downloaded from the Developer Center. The build number is 18F5055b. In addition to iOS 14.6, the second beta of tvOS 14.6 and watchOS 7.5 was also released. So far, iOS 14.6 does not offer many changes. In fact, the only new feature discovered so far is that iOS 14.6 makes it easier for beta users to install RC versions and skip other available beta updates. As a reminder:
iOS 14.6 likely includes adjustments for podcast subscriptions
You can now update your iOS or iPadOS device directly to the latest release candidate without removing the beta profile. After updating to the release candidate, you can choose to update to the next available beta or uninstall the profile to remove your device from the beta program.
It is likely that iOS 14.6 will include new features in the Apple Podcasts app for the upcoming Apple Podcasts subscription platform, which will launch sometime in May. If there are any notable changes or new features in the second beta, we will, as always, report on them separately. (Photo by Putilov Denis / Bigstockphoto)
