There are now enough rumors about new iPad Pro models. Now there is a new report on the subject.
Both the new iPad Pro and MacBook Pro generation are said to be equipped with displays that use mini-LED backlighting. At least that is what various sources have been claiming for several months. Now reported DigiTimes about new information from the supply chain. Ennostar is a holding company jointly established in January 2021 by LED-related manufacturers Epistar and Lextar Electronics. Apple is expected to unveil the new iPad Pro with MiniLED backlighting in the first half of this year, with Epistar serving as the exclusive supplier of MiniLED chips that will be packaged into backlight units by Lextar, according to the news site.
iPad Pro 2021 with A14X and 5G support
This time frame has already been given several times by different sources, with some reports limiting a release to the first quarter. Accordingly, there is a possibility that the new professional tablet will be released in March. In addition, the iPad Pro is said to receive the faster A14X chip and 5G support. The latter is intended for models that have a cellular connection. Interestingly, all rumors refer to a 12.9-inch model. The fate of the 11-inch variant therefore remains open for the time being. However, I explained some time ago that it would be very unusual if Apple only updated the 12.9-inch model. Accordingly, it can be assumed that Apple will update the entire iPad Pro range, which consists of two sizes. According to DigiTimes, the same display technology is also planned for new MacBook Pro models, which are due to be introduced at the end of this year. (Photo by Denis Rozhnovsky / Bigstockphoto)
