In September it's time - Apple's keynote, the hottest show of the year, is as certain as amen in church. So far, three new iPhones are expected, two OLED models and one LCD device. Now, hints of an iPhone SE 2 have surfaced.
Once again it is the developer Guilherme Rambo who was able to discover the clues, this time from the current Xcode beta. According to the information, Apple does not mention a specific product name in Xcode's thinning options, but a new placeholder with three unknown model numbers.
This was marked “iPhone xx“. Some information has already been given about the technical specifications of the devices. The product types mentioned “iPhone 9,7„, „iPhone9,8" and "iPhone9,9“ use the A10 processor – this hardware was already installed in the iPhone 7 in 2016. A P3 panel could be used for the screen. Nothing is known about the display diagonal so far.

It would be extremely unlikely for Apple to use two-year-old hardware in one of the upcoming iPhones in 2018 – an iPhone SE 2 would be more grateful in this case.
