I have already suspected that Apple may be deliberately holding back the final version of Big Sur in order to release it together with the first Apple Silicon Mac. So I'm sticking to my theory. According to this, the operating system could be rolled out by the end of November. macOS 11 Big Sur, for example, adds widgets and a new control center. Safari has also been fundamentally revised. But now let's move on to products that have been on everyone's lips for a long time. Let's start with the AirTags. Apple's AirTags are small trackers that can be attached to various objects. This accessory is by no means a new invention. But Apple wants to market them as a useful accessory - so they should have more to offer than competing products such as Tile or Adero - at least on a design level. Apple Event – Are the AirTags coming out now?
But when exactly will they be released? Rumors have already mentioned several dates. Originally, it all started in the summer of 2019. To date, however, there has been no official confirmation. If leaker Jon Prosser is to be believed, Apple could now finally take the step and unveil the AirTags. According to Prosser, iOS 14.3 is geared towards the new accessories. Whether he will be right remains to be seen. After all, he has already made some predictions that were correct. However, he was also wrong a few times. Most recently, he claimed that the event would take place on November 17th. Well, he was off by a week.
How much will the AirTags cost?
Before I move on to the AirPods, I want to address the issue of price again, as this question has been asked so many times. Of course, only Apple knows the answer to this. However, since competing products such as Tile are positioned in the $25-35 range, it is unlikely that Apple will charge three times as much. Of course, Apple will certainly set a higher price, but as I said, it is very unlikely that an AirTag will cost $100. So let's assume $40-50. However, this is only speculation. A particularly interesting product that has been with us for over two years is the new over-ear headphones called AirPods Studio. We have already had reports about the start of mass production and the like. But both Bloomberg and Prosser recently claimed that the planned launch in the fall has been postponed. So the whole thing should be mentioned here again, but I wouldn't attach much importance to it - at least not at the moment.
So what about the Apple TV 6?
Finally, we should talk about the Apple TV 6 again. Reports and software leaks have revealed a new model. The 4K version was last released in 2017. An update is therefore not unlikely. The new version of the TV box is said to have significantly more power to guarantee a better gaming experience. If the rumors are to be believed, there will also be more storage space. That means that storage versions of 64 GB and 128 GB are said to be planned. A brand new remote control - the Siri Remote - has also been discussed. The trackpad is to be redesigned and a small speaker integrated. The reason for this is a connection to the "Find My" app. Since some users have often misplaced the product, the search should be made easier in the future.
