Apple released the second beta of iOS 14.2 and more this evening published. New emojis have been added, including Ninja, Pinata, Bubble Tea, and more.
The second beta version of iOS 14.2 now officially introduces the new Emoji 13 icons that Apple unveiled earlier this year as part of World Emoji Day. The new emoji options include Ninja, People Hugging, Black Cat, Bison, Bow Tie, Polar Bear, Blueberries, Fondue, Bubble Tea, and more. Also part of the update are new faces, people, body parts, animals, food, household items, and more. The new version also includes 55 gender and skin tone variants, as well as new gender-specific emoticons that can be used as alternatives to the gender-specific versions, such as Person Wearing Veil and Person Wearing Tuxedo instead of the current woman/man options. As Emojipedia noted, Apple previewed a handful of these emoticons in July.

Emoji 14 appears later than usual
But many of the new characters are only now being seen in their official form in the new beta version. As most of you know, new emojis are introduced at the beginning of the year and rolled out at the end of the year. In the case of Emoji Version 14.0, it will be different this time. These were originally supposed to be introduced and released in 2021. But due to the ongoing Corona crisis, there are delays - the Unicode Consortium announced this in April confirmedAccording to this, the developers will be given more time to create the popular faces. This means that the Emoji Version 14.0 code will be delayed by around six months. Final availability on devices is therefore not expected before 2022. However, a small Update to Emoji 13.1 planned. However, this will mainly focus on skin tone variations and only contain a handful of new symbols. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
