The topic of AirPower has been on our minds ever since Apple introduced the intelligent charging mat. But now the time has finally come – the probably best alternative is called the Base Station Pro and can finally pre-ordered become.
Die-hard Apple fans are still mourning the loss of AirPower - some firmly believe that Apple will release AirPower at some point. But does it have to be made by Apple? Nomad, a manufacturer of high-quality accessories, already has the charger that so many of us are waiting for - well, almost. The Base Station Pro was introduced in autumn last year and now it's finally here. The Qi charging station can charge up to three devices at the same time and does not have a fixed charging zone. This means that the devices can simply be placed on the charger and then charged. Apple promised us this freedom with AirPower. But how did Nomad manage to make it all happen? The answer is FreePower.
FreePower – the key to more charging freedom
The Base Station Pro was developed in collaboration with the startup company Aira - the creators of FreePower. Aira approached Nomad over a year ago and introduced the new wireless charging technology - for Nomad it was clear that a partnership was needed. The two companies say they worked on the product for over a year. In the end, they reinvented wireless charging with the Base Station Pro. By integrating the new technology, the Base Station Pro has a new 18-charging coil matrix that offers a completely new charging experience. Proprietary FreePower algorithms quickly locate the device on the surface and generate dynamic and intelligent energy that can charge up to three devices in any orientation. Fixed "sweet spots" are now a thing of the past. But there is one small catch - unfortunately, charging an Apple Watch is not possible.
