We have read rumors about an iPad Air 4 several times. But so many details have not been documented yet.
Rumor has it that Apple plans to unveil an iPad Air 4 in March 2021. This time frame is also supported by the Chinese website MyDrivers. But the platform has yet to reveal further details. MyDrivers appointed refers to "foreign sources" who claim that Apple will bring the new iPad Air 4 much closer to the current iPad Pro in terms of design and features. The new tablet will apparently have a Smart Connector on the back to support the brand new Magic Keyboard. It will also apparently switch from the Lightning connector to USB-C and have four stereo speakers. According to the report, the iPad Air 4 will be equipped with an 11-inch display and offer storage configurations of 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB.
iPad Air 4 could be positioned in the mid-price segment
It is also possible that the device will actually have 10.8 inches instead of 11 inches, as Ming-Chi Kuo has already claimed this several times. The frame, however, is said to be significantly narrower - regardless of the screen diagonal. The A14 processor is said to be working inside. Currently, only the iPad Pro has all of these features - except for the heart of the device. This means that the new iPad Air could fill the gap between the high-end and entry-level iPad. This means that the device should retain its place in the mid-price segment. There should also be some changes in price compared to its predecessor. The Chinese site believes that Apple will offer the device around 150 US dollars more expensive. This means that the iPad Air 4 could start at around 649 US dollars. But that's not all.
iPad Pro to be updated again in September
According to the report, a brand new iPad Pro will be released next month. However, this detail should be taken with a grain of salt, as reports about an iPad Pro update are very contradictory. If the rumors are to be believed, the professional tablet will have the A14 chip, 5G and a miniLED display. The update was actually expected at the beginning of the year - but instead only a revised version of the iPad Pro 2018 model was released, the biggest innovation of which is the camera.
