There have been reports for months that Apple wants to bundle its own services and offer them as a package. Clues have also been found in the iOS code. Now there are more details.
Apple plans to offer its services as a subscription package. The company wants to attract more users to Apple News+, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple Music. Now Bloomberg experience that the new subscription will be called "Apple One" and will be released together with the iPhone 12. This should therefore be the case in October. The individual subscription would basically offer a selection of Apple's services at a discount. In addition, Bloomberg also suggests in the latest report that Apple could include a fitness subscription in this bundle.
Apple One: First evidence discovered in iOS 13.5
While reports on this topic have been documented for months, the first tangible evidence has been found in the code of iOS 13.5 discovered. Apple One is intended to make the services more attractive to users and at the same time significantly increase revenue. The Cupertino-based company aims to reach 600 million paying subscribers by the end of 2020 - including subscriptions to third-party applications. At the last conference call, it was said that they were well on their way to achieving this goal. A large subscription package will certainly have a positive effect on this. Whether Apple Music will be part of the subscription plan remains open for now. This depends on whether Apple can convince the music labels. Negotiations are said to have already taken place.
