Will Apple soon introduce a new MacBook or MacBook Air? Perhaps a device with an Apple Silicon processor? A new database entry gives us hope.
Apple appears to have submitted a new battery for certification. Discovered The whole thing was discovered by Twitter user Venkatesh Babu.G. According to the discovery, the new battery was listed in the database for Chinese mandatory certificates and at UL Demko. Although little is known, it appears to be a Mac battery. The battery registered under the model number A2389 appears to have 4,380mAh. Based on the data provided, it must be a battery for a MacBook device. Preferably, it could be a MacBook Air - according to the Twitter user. Further details remain unclear, however.
Large MacBook models are out of the question
Due to its size, it is impossible for the battery to be used in a 13-inch or higher MacBook Pro. For example, such a model has a battery of around 5,100 mAh, while the 16-inch model has an 8,000 mAh battery. In addition, the documents show that the Mac in question has a battery of 49.9 watt hours, which is exactly the same as a MacBook Air. However, it cannot be ruled out that the battery is intended for a brand new 12-inch MacBook. Rumors that Apple wants to revive the model have already been documented several times. It has been reported that the device could be equipped with the Apple Silicon processor.
Apple Silicon: MacBook 12″ or MacBook Air?
Since Apple will be releasing the first Macs with the new chip this year present It is likely that it will be either a new MacBook Air or the 12-inch model mentioned above. Overall, Macs with Apple's own processor are expected to be much more energy efficient and offer more performance. It would therefore not be surprising if new MacBook Devices have slightly smaller batteries and still have a longer battery life than Intel models. The new devices will probably be unveiled in October - there may be further reports by then that provide more details. (Photo by Yastremska / Bigstockphoto)
