According to this, users could soon be able to make payments with Apple Pay using a QR code. This means that iOS 14 currently contains references that Apple is working on a new payment method. In the future, an iPhone user could scan a QR code using the camera and make the payment via Apple Pay. A conventional barcode would also be compatible.

Since the feature has not yet been confirmed by Apple, it remains to be seen when it will be officially released.
