There are plenty of rumors about the iPhone 12 series. But there is currently a prediction circulating online that could well be classified as "absurd."
The analysts at Barclays have once again spoken out (via MacRumors) and made their forecast regarding the iPhone 12. The British financial house claims to have learned that the iPhone 12 series will be delivered without EarPods. This statement is in line with an earlier forecast by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. But now the absurd part. According to Barclays, Apple plans to offer the iPhone 12 models without a power adapter. According to their information, the iPhone will only be supplied with a Lightning to USB-C cable. This statement is in direct contradiction to a rumor that Apple will 20-watt adapter for the iPhone 12. Is this forecast supported by another source? We are curious.
Barclays with mixed track record
In addition to the packaging insert, Barclays stated that mass production will start about 4-6 weeks later than planned. However, the presentation of the new devices could still take place in September. A staggered market launch cannot be ruled out either. The financial institution then went on to highlight the specifications of the devices, which are generally in line with previous rumors. This means that two of the devices will have the triple camera including LiDAR scanner, while the two cheaper models will use the iPhone 11 camera. What to make of the forecast is up to each individual. The Barclays analysts have a fairly mixed track record. Accordingly, they could at least be right with regard to the EarPods and the market launch. As far as the power supply is concerned, we are provisionally labeling this part of the statement as an absurd rumor. (Photo by Eremin / Bigstockphoto)
