This morning, pictures were posted on Twitter published, which show a new 20-watt power adapter that will be shipped with the iPhone 12. Now the accessory has been discovered in an official database.
According to the well-known leaker Mr. White, Apple plans to include a 20-watt adapter with the iPhone 12. Whether this will be available on all four models or only on the Pro line remains unknown for the time being. Now the platform is reporting MySmartPrice an entry in the Norwegian database for certified electrical devices. According to this, Apple is said to have registered the new power supply on February 28th. The USB-C adapter has the model number A2305. This can also be seen in the leaked image, which is why it must be the same product.
New iPhone – new charger?
According to MySmartPrice, however, there is another certification under the identifier A2247, which is stored in both the Norwegian and Australian databases. However, further details are not known. Currently, the iPhone 11 comes with a 5-watt adapter, while the iPhone 11 Pro models are delivered with an 18-watt charger. It is conceivable that the two cheaper iPhone 12 models will receive the 18-watt power adapter and the brand new 20-watt charger will be included in the iPhone 12 Pro series. Alternatively, all four iPhone 12 devices could of course receive the large adapter. Let's see if there will be further information about this in the near future.
