The operator of the well-known YouTube channel EverythingApplePro caused a sensation on Twitter this morning. According to him, the notch on the iPhone 12 could remain the same and the LiDAR scanner could become an iPhone 12 Pro Max feature.
A newly surfaced CAD image of the iPhone 12 series shows that the notch could remain unchanged. So far, leaks have suggested a change. According to them, Apple could shrink the notch by about 30 percent by repositioning the TrueDepth components. But that is said to be wrong - as EverythingApplePro now claims. In addition to the smaller notch, there was also speculation that two of the four devices - the Pro versions - could have the well-known triple camera module including a LiDAR scanner. But now there is suspicion that only the iPhone 12 Pro Max could get this.
iPhone 12 rumors remain exciting
At this point, however, it should be mentioned that a similar claim was made on Twitter a few months ago, but was not taken seriously. In addition, the statement matches CAD images that were published just a few days ago. It was clearly visible that the notch is the same size and the recess for the LiDAR scanner is missing - the Tweet was deleted again. The result is now a heated discussion between the individual leakers on Twitter. If EverythingApplePro is right, the notch will remain unchanged on all devices and the LiDAR scanner will only be used in the 6.7-inch iPhone. It remains to be seen what the rumor mill will say about the Theme has to offer in the next few weeks. (Photo by alicefoxart / Bigstockphoto)
