Apple bears production costs
For example, a summary of the top stories could be published as an audio recording. According to the previous rumor, Apple plans to compensate publishers in the same way as before. However, the audio recordings will be created by Apple itself. This means that Apple will keep around 50 percent of the revenue and thus cover the production costs of the audio recording, while the respective publishers will receive the rest. The length of time subscribers stay plays a major role. The more often a publisher's content is visited, the higher their monthly earnings will be. Whether the feature will actually be introduced in iOS 13.5.5 remains to be seen. (Photo by Denys Prykhodov / Bigstockphoto)
