Apple announced late last week that all Apple Stores outside of Greater China will remain closed for two weeks to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Only yesterday, the company announced a FAQ with the eight most important questions. Among other things, questions about repairs and returns are answered. At the time of publication of the FAQ, it was again emphasized that the stores would remain closed until March 27th. But a new ad on apple.com is now causing confusion. It says:
Our retail stores are closed until further notice. We are committed to providing exceptional service to our customers. For purchases with fast and free delivery, please visit apple.com or shop in the Apple Store app. For service and support, go to support.apple.com or call 800-275-2273. We look forward to seeing you soon.
However, the banner only appears on the US website, so it is not clear whether the message includes all Apple Stores worldwide. Apple may provide an update on this later. (Photo by Leszek Kobusinski / Bigstockphoto)
