Apple has determined that a limited number of iPad Air (3rd generation) units may experience a persistent blank screen under certain circumstances. There may be a brief flicker or flash before the screen goes blank.
However, the problem is only said to occur in a small number of devices. According to Apple, this affects models that were sold between March 2019 and October 2019.
Affected devices were manufactured between March 2019 and October 2019. Qualified devices will be repaired by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider at no charge.
Customers who actually have a faulty iPad Air 3 can contact Apple directly or contact an authorized service partner. The replacement will then be carried out free of charge.
