Serif’s illustration tool Affinity Designer is now available for the iPad.
Among other things, it is possible to create vector graphics – the Apple Pencil can of course also be used.
All important formats such as EPS, PSD, SVG, EXR, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, HDR and even PDF are directly supported – including CMYK and color management for professional prints.
The iPad version can be synchronized with the desktop version – this guarantees a seamless transition when working.
You can also use Affinity Designer to produce bitmap images and switch between formats.
There are 100 different brushes and fonts included, and it is also possible to use up to 22 layers simultaneously. High performance should be guaranteed thanks to the support of Apple's Metal graphics layer.
Serif has decided against a subscription and is offering the app for a one-off payment; currently even cheaper. Affinity Designer is currently available for €15. The Mac version currently costs €39.
