Rumors about the next iPad Pro generation just won't let up. Now there are reports that the new Smart Keyboard Folio will have an integrated trackpad.
A new report by The Information According to reports, Apple is planning a Smart Keyboard with an integrated trackpad. The platform claims to have learned this from a source familiar with the matter. According to the source, Apple has been working on the accessory for several years. Some of the prototypes were even equipped with capacitive keys - but it is not known whether these will also be included in the final model. According to the source, the Smart Keyboard Folio for the iPad Pro 2020 is made of a similar material to its predecessor.
Also with backlight?
The Cupertino-based company is currently planning mass production. The new keyboard is expected to be introduced with the new fourth-generation iPad Pro. Currently, some observers believe that Apple will present the new device at a keynote at the end of March – preferably March 31st - will be introduced. But there are also sources that believe that it will be launched in the fall, as there are indications that the new professional tablet will use mini-LEDs. If Apple does indeed equip the Smart Keyboard Folio with a trackpad, this will bring with it significant changes. The Taiwanese news site claimed in January that the new iPad keyboard will be equipped with backlighting - the product could possibly have both features. (Photo by xMarshall / Bigstockphoto)
